Open – Face Malvern Particle Dispersion Enclosure

Open – Face Malvern Particle Dispersion Enclosure designed to provide personnel protection down to a respiratory exposure concentration of 1000-5000 micrograms powder per cubic meter air (1000-5000 ug/m3). Designed to contain operations involving the use of a Malvern 3000 Mastersizer and the following equipment:

  • Malvern 3150 – Hydro SM
  • Malvern Aero S
  • Malvern 2070 – Venturi Disperser (Dry Dispersion)

Enclosure features acrylic superstructure, acrylic viewing panels, 12” x 12” access door on right for ease of access to enclosure interior and loading / unloading of equipment and containerized product.

(2x) Top – mount fan / filter housings with 99.993% efficiency provide filtration of powder contaminants from enclosure interior. FS1650 airflow velocity alerts the user when face velocity measurement is below the setpoint calibrated by the certifier. 6” [149mm] diameter exhaust on top of enclosure is capable of connecting to house exhaust system (with thimble connection, sold separately) or recirculate filtered (“clean”) air back into the room.

Additional features include:

  • 1.5” [38mm] diameter rubber membrane iris ports on rear right and rear left sides allow ingress / egress of equipment cables and cords
  • Blanked ports on left and right sides for potential addition or retrofitting of FS2070 Waste Chute or FS2079 Double Safe Waste Chute
